Sandhill Wines 2018 Rosé Launch
Founded in Kelowna in 1997, Sandhill is a prominent player in the BC wine industry. With 20 varietals including Rosé and Ice Wine, Sandhill wines are made from five vineyards in the Okanagan and Similkameen, each with their own unique characteristics, terroir, and growing techniques. Sandhill’s rich history, experienced winemaking and award-winning wines can be experienced at its downtown Urban Winery in Kelowna, where visitors have the opportunity to virtually explore the winemaking process, giving a well-rounded and educational wine drinking experience from vineyard to table. The Sandhill portfolio of wines is available at the Winery, in select retail outlets, and at restaurants across Canada.
Sandhill Wines has partnered with Reformation since 2015 to implement an integrated modern public relations strategy focused on developing a strong social media presence and organic influencer engagement, as well as media exposure. To celebrate the launch of its 2018 Rosé, we partnered with Jillian Harris and Tori Wesszer of Fraiche Nutrition to create high-impact social media sharing from key Okanagan influencers with wide reach across Western Canada, while targeting additional media and influencers with product seeding to maximize sharing and reach.

The Results
- Jillian Harris shared one blog post, two Instagram posts, one Facebook post and one Twitter post, while hosting a giveaway on Instagram for one case of the new Rosé. Most notably, her Instagram post reached 489,510 people, with a total of 724,227 impressions, 20.7k likes, and 39.3k comments
- Tori Wesszer (Fraiche Nutrition) shared one post on Instagram that received 1,290 likes and 24 comments
- Nearly every influencer who received a complimentary bottle of Rosé posted about the launch organically on their personal social feeds, including Karlene Karst, Carly Malchuk, Holly Horvath, Lauren Hahn, Bethany Menzel and Bailey Campbell, along with 15 select media including Kurtis Kolt and Gail Johnson
- Secured 32 brand mentions in print and online media, including notable hits in The Province, John Schreiner On Wine and the Kelowna Daily Courier
